Sheep For The Slaughter

“As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter” (Psalm 44:22; Romans 8:36).

This was not created as a metaphor but is the truth hidden for centuries. It is the prophetic truth describing the bloodline Esra'elawi (Israelites), scattered across the earth, marked for destruction in every generation. These are not those who converted or blended into European society. These are Esra'elawi of African descent, easily identified by appearance, unable to hide, and consistently targeted by empires, colonizers, and oppressors.

The Inquisition was a violent purge of the Esra'elawi of the Iberian Peninsula. These were the black Jews of Spain and Portugal, called Sephardim and Portuguese Jews, who maintained their traditions and were deeply rooted in the land. They were burned at the stake, imprisoned, or forced to convert to Catholicism. Those who refused to surrender to Rome’s demands were expelled in 1492. Many fled to West Africa, carrying their customs with them, only to face further destruction at the hands of Islamic and European slave traders.

The Islamic slave trade, spanning more than a thousand years, devastated East, Central, and parts of West Africa. Esra'elawi were captured through raids, deception, and forced conversion campaigns. Men were often castrated. Women were sold into servitude in foreign lands. Families were broken. These actions were intentional, and part of a long-standing hostility toward the covenant people of Yahuah.

The transatlantic slave trade was one of the most brutal fulfillments of the prophecy. African Esra'elawi from the west coast of Africa, including the Yoruba, Igbo, and other tribes with clear Hebraic customs, were sold into slavery. The brutality was physical, spiritual and cultural. Their names were changed, their languages erased, and their identity stripped. The bloodline of Jacob was shipped to the Americas because prophecy had spoken of this event centuries before.

The French Empire played a brutal role in the oppression of Israelites. In West Africa, Haiti, and North Africa, the French enslaved, colonized, and executed countless Esra'elawi. They were forced into labor, subjected to violent military campaigns, and had their spiritual heritage outlawed or mocked. The Code Noir, imposed by France, criminalized the Esra'elawi who refused to convert or submit to French rule.

The British Empire, with its claim of civilization and Christianity, expanded its reach across the African continent and the Caribbean. British slave traders transported millions of Esra'elawi to the colonies. In regions like Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa, the British enforced divide-and-rule tactics and implemented economic systems that ensured the Esra'elawi would remain in bondage. Their efforts erased tribal identities and disrupted the memory of Esra'elawi heritage, all while building Britain’s wealth.

The American Empire, born through the exploitation of slave labor, continued the war against Yahuah’s people. African Americans, descendants of the Esra'elawi, were subjected to centuries of plantation slavery, followed by Jim Crow laws, racial terrorism, redlining, mass incarceration, and police violence. Even now, they are hunted in the streets, locked away in prisons, and economically strangled. Their condition was based upon European policy. It is the sign of a people under a specific curse laid out in Deuteronomy 28.

The Berlin Conference in 1884–85 marked a global agreement to carve up Africa like spoils of war. European powers, including Britain, France, Belgium, and others, drew borders with no regard for the people living within them. Ancient Israelite kingdoms in West and Central Africa were dismantled or swallowed into European colonies. Missionaries, soldiers, and merchants worked together to control and destroy what remained of the Esra'elawi structure.

The reign of King Leopold II of Belgium in the Congo was among the darkest chapters. Over ten million Esra'elawi died under his rule. Families were torn apart. Villages were razed. Men who failed to meet rubber quotas had their hands cut off. The land was drained of its wealth while its people were treated worse than animals. The silence of the world during this time is yet another testimony to how little value has been placed on Esra'elawi lives.

The Rwandan Genocide in 1994, manipulated through colonial classifications and tribal tensions, led to the murder of over a million people. Many of them were Esra'elawi, misclassified under European-imposed identities. These divisions were engineered, another tool of destruction against Yahuah’s people.

In Libya, the collapse of the state after NATO's intervention reopened a horror many thought was long buried. Black Africans, mostly migrants and Esra'elawi from West Africa, were captured and sold in slave markets. Footage of men in cages and auctions circulated globally. The world reacted with shock, but for the Esra'elawi, it was a grim reminder of a cycle that never ended.

In Brazil, the largest recipient of enslaved Africans, Esra'elawi are still oppressed. They are hunted by police in the favelas, trapped in generational poverty, and denied access to power. Though the chains are gone, the system remains. Their ancestors came on slave ships, and their descendants remain at the bottom of society.

In the United States, from the plantations to present-day neighborhoods, the shedding of Esra'elawi blood has been relentless. The descendants of those who survived the Middle Passage are gunned down by police, over-policed, undereducated, and economically strangled. Every decade brings new names, Emmett Till, Fred Hampton, Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd. The names change, but the victim remains the same.

All of these events were by design. They are a continuous fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The Esra'elawi, scattered and despised, are the true people of the Book. Their suffering is the seal of their identity. Their affliction under every empire, be it Catholic, Islamic, French, British, Belgian, or American, proves who they are. And though they have been counted as sheep for the slaughter, Yahuah has not forgotten them. Their deliverance is near, and the judgment of the nations is certain. Their scars are the testimony of Scripture fulfilled. Their survival is the witness that Yahuah’s covenant still stands.
