Hooks in Their Jaws: The Final Confrontation

From the beginning of creation, Yahuah laid the foundation for a final judgment upon the nations that have afflicted His chosen people. At the center of His plan is a land of great beauty and abundance, described in Scripture as flowing with milk and honey. This land is located in Sub-Saharan Africa, where its true capital, Jerusalem, is found in Ethiopia. Rich in gold, water, fertile soil, livestock, and other resources, this land has long been the object of international exploitation. The time is near when Yahuah will restore it to His people and use it as the very means to draw the nations into their appointed destruction.

Ezekiel 38: The Hook That Draws the Enemy

The prophet Ezekiel records Yahuah’s strategy for confronting the enemy nations. Yahuah announces that He will bring them forth deliberately.

"And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth..." Ezekiel 38:4

The enemy forces are lured toward a land that appears vulnerable. They come with a clear purpose:

"To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods..." Ezekiel 38:12

They march to seize the resources and wealth of a people recently regathered and restored. They see livestock, goods, and a peaceful population living without military protection. Greed drives them forward, but they enter a space set apart for judgment. This land is the inheritance of the children of Israel. After being scattered and enslaved for generations, they now dwell peacefully in the land Yahuah promised to their fathers. That land lies in Africa, and it is there that Yahuah will confront those who rise against His people.

Zechariah 2: A City Protected by Fire

"Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein. For I, saith Yahuah, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her." Zechariah 2:4–5

Jerusalem, restored in the last days, is described as a city without walls. It flourishes with men and cattle, indicating peace, prosperity, and growth. Unlike cities protected by armies or barriers, this city stands secure because Yahuah surrounds it with His own presence. No earthly force holds it in safety. His glory within it serves as both shield and authority. This land draws the attention of the nations, and their desire to claim its wealth leads them into the center of Yahuah’s plan.

Joel 3: The Case for Judgment

"I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land." Joel 3:2

Yahuah calls the nations into the valley of Jehoshaphat where He will confront them for specific crimes. They scattered His people and divided His land. Their actions have consequences, and Yahuah has declared this meeting in advance. But the charge continues.

"And the children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border." Joel 3:6

The nations sold the children of Israel into slavery, removed them from their inheritance, and enriched themselves through forced labor. Yahuah brings them to this valley to answer for those crimes. He does not forget. Their military movement toward the land serves His purpose, and what follows is a divine confrontation between the Gentile nations and Yah.

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of Yahuah is near in the valley of decision. Yahuah also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake..." Joel 3:14–16

This moment displays the unmatched power of Yahuah. His voice rises from Zion and echoes through Jerusalem, which stands in the land He gave to His people. The roar from His presence causes the earth and sky to tremble. The presence of the Most High shakes creation itself. No army can stand in that moment. The power unleashed belongs to Yahuah alone.

Zechariah 14: Yahuah Goes Out to War

"For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle... Then shall Yahuah go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle." Zechariah 14:2–3

Yahuah gathers the nations not to negotiate, but to destroy them. He enters the battlefield Himself and confronts them as He did in times past. The reference to His prior battles reminds us of Egypt, of the Red Sea, of every moment when His hand struck for Israel. This event belongs to that same tradition. The outcome has already been determined. The nations come to fight Israel, but they find themselves in combat against Yahuah.

Psalm 9: Justice Through Reversal

"The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. Yahuah is known by the judgment which He executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands." Psalm 9:15–16

The nations fall into their own schemes. The global systems they created to control and exploit others become the very traps that destroy them. Their economies, their armies, their alliances, and their policies lead them directly to ruin. Yahuah makes Himself known by the way He executes justice. The plans of the wicked consume them, and the world sees who truly rules over all.

Revelation 18: The Collapse of Power

"The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones... and slaves, and souls of men."Revelation 18:12–13

The nations have built vast fortunes from violence and injustice. The goods they trade reflect the depth of their corruption. Among their merchandise appear human beings, reduced to property, exploited for profit. The rise of their empires came through the destruction of others. Yahuah observes every transaction. He measures every theft and every lie. The moment of collapse arrives suddenly. No amount of wealth can shield them from what He has declared. Their economic empires fall in fire and mourning, and no one escapes the consequences.

Revelation 16 and 19: The Arrival of the Warrior King

"And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."Revelation 16:16

"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings..." Revelation 17:14

"And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True... and out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations..." Revelation 19:11–15

The confrontation called Armageddon brings together the armies of the world under the illusion of victory. Their destination is the land Yahuah chose. What they meet there is their total annihilation. They face the return of Yahusha, the righteous King who comes to strike the nations and defend His people. He rides with the armies of heaven, and His word alone defeats those who oppose Him. The power displayed in this moment confirms every prophecy. Yahuah brings it to pass through His Son, and the world sees who holds dominion.

Conclusion: The Plan Fulfilled

Yahuah never lost sight of His people or His land. The scattering, the slavery, and the suffering of Israel serve as a witness and a preparation. The nations that gained power through oppression return to the place they once exploited, and they find themselves face to face with the Judge of all the earth. The land serves as the stage. The people stand as evidence. And the victory belongs to Yahuah.

"Yahuah hath made all things for Himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil." Proverbs 16:4

The hook has been set. The gathering has begun. The roar will be heard, and the confrontation will end with the name of Yahuah exalted above all.
