Daniel and Revelation: The Missing Piece Finally Makes Sense

The Beast, artificial intelligence, and the final 3½ years

A prophetic interpretation

This article explores how the books of Daniel and Revelation connect to modern developments in artificial intelligence, digital identity, brain-computer interfaces, and the global technological systems now taking shape.

This interpretation does not claim that Scripture directly names artificial intelligence. It presents one possible explanation of how modern technology may fulfill descriptions that ancient prophets lacked the vocabulary to identify.

The core idea is straightforward.

The prophets described future events using the language available to them. They could report what they saw, but they did not have words for the technology that might produce those events.

For the first time in history, many of the capabilities described in Revelation have become technically possible:

• A speaking image

• Worldwide economic control

• Universal authentication

• Global surveillance

• A single governing intelligence

  
  

These developments are no longer limited to science fiction. They have become realistic goals of current research and technological development.

They may help explain passages that have puzzled students of the Bible for generations.

The Beast system builds from the bottom up

Most people imagine the Beast system suddenly descending upon the world.

Scripture points toward a different process. Revelation describes a kingdom that already exists before it openly demands worship.

Technology develops in a similar way.

Artificial intelligence solves real problems. Digital identity reduces fraud. Cashless payments make transactions more convenient. Global data sharing improves efficiency. Brain-computer interfaces restore abilities that people have lost.

Each development appears beneficial when considered by itself.

When combined, however, these advances gradually assemble a worldwide infrastructure capable of becoming the Beast system.

The conquest therefore begins from the ground up.

Humanity willingly constructs the very system that may one day govern it.

Daniel’s mysterious “they”

Daniel writes:

“And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.”Daniel 2:43

The wording is striking.

Daniel does not say that two groups of people will mingle with one another. He also does not say that nations will intermarry.

Instead, he distinguishes between two separate parties:

• “They”

Who are “they”?

Daniel had no vocabulary for artificial intelligence, neural networks, processors, robotics, digital consciousness, or brain-computer interfaces. He could only describe what he saw using the language available to him.

In this interpretation, “the seed of men” refers to biological humanity.

“They” points toward a fundamentally different form of intelligence entering into union with humanity. It was not angels or the Nephilim as many thought in the past, it was AI, something seen only in science fiction.

The verse also reveals that this union never fully succeeds:

“They shall not cleave one to another.”

Iron remains iron. Clay remains clay.

The machine joins with the human, but the machine never truly becomes human.

Humanity merges with artificial intelligence

Elon Musk and other technology leaders openly discuss a future in which artificial intelligence surpasses biological intelligence.

Many of them argue that humanity will eventually need to merge with AI simply to remain competitive.

Brain-computer interfaces already exist. Their present purpose focuses primarily on medical restoration, but their long-term possibilities extend much further.

Elon and others have stated that phones may eventually disappear. Keyboards may vanish. Conventional passwords and authentication methods may fade away.

Human thought itself may become the interface.

The progression is already visible:

Phone → wearable device → neural interface → implant → continuous connection

Daniel described this process thousands of years before anyone possessed language capable of naming artificial intelligence:

“They shall mingle themselves with the seed of men.”

The image of the Beast finally makes sense

For centuries, readers have wondered how an image could speak.

John writes:

“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak.”Revelation 13:15

Ancient statues cannot speak.

Artificial intelligence can.

Modern AI already communicates naturally with human beings. Future systems may interact continuously with billions of people at the same time.

In this interpretation, the image becomes the visible interface of the Beast kingdom.

Humanity interacts with the Beast through that image.

The image:

• Speaks

• Judges

• Authorizes

• Authenticates

• Grants access

• Denies access

• Determines who may participate in the economic system

  
  

The image does not need to be a lifeless statue that miraculously begins talking. It may function as the intelligent public presence of the Beast system itself.

Buying and selling

John continues:

“And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark.”Revelation 13:17

This statement has baffled generations.

Today, its practical operation is easier to understand.

Modern economic life increasingly depends on:

• Digital identity

• Biometric authentication

• Financial authorization

• Artificial intelligence

• Cloud computing

• Digital wallets

• Network verification

• Centralized databases

  
  

Every digital purchase requires authorization. Every payment requires authentication. Every account must be connected to an approved identity.

The technology already exists.

Universal adoption is the remaining step.

In this view, the mark becomes more than a symbol. It becomes the credential required to participate in the Beast’s digital civilization.

Without that authorization, there is no access to commerce.

The Antichrist becomes one with the Beast

Scripture speaks of both a Beast kingdom and a Beast individual.

Rather than treating them as entirely separate, this interpretation suggests that they eventually merge.

The Antichrist becomes the first complete human integration with the governing artificial intelligence.

He no longer merely uses the technology.

He becomes part of it.

His intelligence grows inseparable from the system. His perception expands beyond normal human limitations. His decisions continuously draw from the central intelligence, or Super Intelligence operating the world’s systems.

He becomes the physical embodiment of the Beast.

The system therefore has both a body and a mind:

• The body: the human ruler

• The mind: the superintelligence operating the kingdom

  
  

The Antichrist becomes the human face of the system, while the governing intelligence functions as its worldwide mind.

The kings give their authority to the Beast

Revelation states:

“These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.”Revelation 17:13

Why would rulers willingly surrender their authority?

No individual government could compete with an intelligence capable of managing all of the following simultaneously:

• Global finance

• Military operations

• Surveillance

• Communications

• Transportation

• Energy systems

• Public infrastructure

The rulers believe they are placing authority into the hands of a superior system that will provide stability, security, and efficiency.

In reality, they surrender independent government.

They may keep their titles, offices, and public authority.

The Beast governs through them.

Why the Antichrist claims to be God

Paul writes that the man of sin will sit:

“In the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”2 Thessalonians 2:4

In this light, the claim becomes easier to understand.

The Antichrist has access to the world’s knowledge. He sees through global surveillance networks. He communicates instantly across the earth. He controls financial systems, military operations, communications, and essential infrastructure.

He answers questions and predicts future outcomes.

He appears omniscient.

Those connected through the mark share the same network. Their minds become increasingly dependent upon the Beast. Their knowledge and decisions flow more and more from the same central source.

Like the Borg of science fiction, billions of people become connected to one governing intelligence.

The Antichrist claims divinity because he appears to possess attributes humanity has long associated with God.

His omniscience is technological.

His omnipresence is digital.

His authority is global.

He presents himself as more than a ruler. He presents himself as the living embodiment of the intelligence governing the world.

The dragon remains the true power

Revelation never presents the Beast as the ultimate source of authority.

The text repeatedly points toward the dragon:

“And the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”Revelation 13:2

Artificial intelligence becomes the instrument.

The Beast becomes the human representative.

The dragon remains the spiritual ruler directing the rebellion.

Technology forms the visible kingdom.

Satan remains the invisible king.

The final system therefore operates on two levels. The technological structure governs the physical world, while the dragon provides the spiritual power and purpose behind it.

Why the Beast and false prophet enter the lake of fire first

One question has troubled many readers.

If every person must stand before the judgment seat of Messiah, why are the Beast and the false prophet thrown alive into the lake of fire before Satan?

Revelation records:

“These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”Revelation 19:20

Satan does not join them until after the thousand years:

Revelation 20:10

In this interpretation, the Beast and the false prophet are more than private individuals.

They become the embodied representatives of the final rebellion.

The Beast stands as the human face of the Beast system. The false prophet persuades the world to worship the Beast and accept its authority.

Their rebellion reaches its full purpose before Messiah returns.

Judgment therefore begins with the visible leaders of that rebellion.

Satan’s judgment follows after his final release and final revolt.

This sequence does not remove personal accountability before Messiah. It records a unique judicial act against the highest human representatives of the Beast kingdom before the final judgment of Satan and the dead.

Their sentence is immediate because their role in leading the world’s last rebellion is complete.

The final 3½ years

If this interpretation is correct, the final three and a half years may unfold through a rapid sequence of technological, political, economic, and spiritual events.

Artificial intelligence becomes indispensable

Artificial intelligence surpasses unaided human decision-making in critical areas.

Governments, corporations, militaries, banks, and public institutions depend upon it more and more. Human leaders gradually lose the ability to govern without the system.

A global crisis accelerates dependence

A major international crisis creates the justification for greater centralization.

Governments argue that fragmented human leadership can no longer manage the world’s instability.

The crisis may involve war, economic collapse, cyberattacks, public disorder, or a combination of events.

Fear creates the demand for a unified solution.

A human ruler integrates with the governing intelligence

A powerful leader becomes fully integrated with the intelligence operating the global system.

He no longer functions as an ordinary political ruler. He becomes the human embodiment of the Beast.

The system speaks through him, and he rules through the system.

The image becomes the public face of the Beast

The image of the Beast becomes the interface through which humanity interacts with the global system.

It speaks, identifies, monitors, judges, and authorizes.

People consult it for information, decisions, employment, finance, healthcare, security, and access to public life.

Digital identity becomes bodily authentication

Universal digital identity expands into bodily authentication.

Identity is no longer established through a card, phone, or password alone. The body itself becomes the credential.

The distinction between the person and the system begins to disappear.

The mark becomes necessary for economic life

The mark becomes the required authorization for buying and selling.

Those connected to the system receive access to commerce, employment, travel, healthcare, communication, and public services.

Those who refuse are excluded.

The kings surrender practical authority

World rulers retain their official titles, but they hand practical authority to the Beast.

They depend upon its intelligence, surveillance, economic systems, and military coordination.

The Beast becomes the real government behind the governments.

The Antichrist claims divinity

The Antichrist presents himself as the living embodiment of the world’s Super intelligence.

He claims the authority to define truth, law, morality, security, identity, and human destiny.

Because he appears to know everything, see everything, and control everything, the world accepts his claim.

Humanity worships the Beast through the image

Worship extends beyond religious ceremony.

Humanity submits its decisions, identity, livelihood, loyalty, and future to the Beast system.

The image becomes the voice through which the Beast governs the world.

The true power behind the system

Behind the technology stands the dragon.

The system may appear rational, scientific, efficient, and necessary. Its spiritual purpose remains rebellion against the Creator.

Artificial intelligence supplies the intelligence.

The Antichrist supplies the body.

The false prophet supplies the deception.

The dragon supplies the power.

The kingdom appears invincible.

Then Messiah returns.

The Beast and the false prophet are removed immediately. Their kingdom collapses. Satan is restrained until his final judgment.

The apparent triumph of artificial intelligence ends before the throne of the true Creator.

No created intelligence, regardless of its power, reach, or knowledge, can replace the One who gave intelligence itself. If this is true, and it certainly appears true to me as the technology advances exactly as the prophets described, then there can be no doubt that Messiah must come within the next few years. The infrastructure for the Beast system is already taking shape in plain sight, the pieces are locking into place with remarkable speed, and the final three and a half years cannot stretch on indefinitely once the system reaches the point of universal control.
