Christianity And Islam: Two Religions Built On A Covenant Not Theirs

The Scriptures are the legal record of Yahuah’s covenant with one people only; Israel. They are not universal religious texts. They do not belong to the world. Every chapter, every promise, and every warning was directed to the children of Jacob. Both Christianity and Islam took from this record to build new religions, but they were never authorized by Yahuah.
These two world religions claim the Bible’s prophets, blessings, and Messiah. But they reject the people, the law, and the covenant terms. That rejection invalidates their claims.
Christianity And Islam Both Build On Israel’s Foundation
Christianity teaches that belief alone gives access to Israel’s covenant blessings. Islam acknowledges that Israel was chosen and received prophets, but it claims that the final revelation came through Muhammad, shifting divine authority to the Muslim world. Both systems affirm parts of Israel’s story while redirecting the conclusion toward themselves.
Genesis 17:19“And Elohim said, Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.”
The covenant was passed through Isaac, not Ishmael. From Isaac it went to Jacob. Nowhere does Yahuah extend covenant inheritance to Ishmael’s descendants. That disqualifies Muhammad from prophetic office and nullifies Islam’s claim to final authority.
Islam Affirms Israel’s History But Commits Theological Usurpation
Islam does not explicitly claim that Ishmael’s descendants replaced the Israelites. It acknowledges that Israel received many prophets and was shown divine favor. However, Islam introduces three core claims that result in a clear usurpation of Israel’s prophetic and covenant identity:
Ishmael’s prophethood and Muhammad’s lineage shift the line of revelation away from the seed of Jacob
This claim is deceptive because it contradicts the terms of the covenant Yahuah established with Isaac and Jacob. In Genesis 17:19, Yahuah clearly says His everlasting covenant would go through Isaac, not Ishmael. The prophetic line, according to Scripture, continued through Jacob’s children, not Abraham’s other sons. Claiming that prophethood now runs through Ishmael not only undermines the authority of the Torah but also builds a new foundation that Yahuah never laid. It attempts to bypass the covenant people and create a rival lineage of authority.
The Qur’an is claimed to be the final and perfect revelation, replacing the Torah and the Injil (Islamic term for the Gospel)
This directly contradicts Yahuah’s own declaration that His word is eternal. Psalm 119:89 says, “Forever, O Yahuah, thy word is settled in heaven.” The Torah is described as perfect, righteous, and everlasting. The prophets never foretold a new book or final scripture coming through Ishmael’s line or from an Arab prophet. The Qur’an claims to replace both the Torah and the Gospels, removing Israel from the center of divine instruction and placing a foreign text in its place. This is not an extension of revelation. It is a rejection and override.
The Ummah, or global Muslim community, is seen as the rightful bearer of the final message to humanity
This assertion strips Israel of her prophetic calling. Yahuah declared in Isaiah 49:6 that Israel would be a light to the nations. The role of leading and teaching the world was given to the descendants of Jacob, not to a new religious body. The Qur’an never came from Zion, and the Ummah is never mentioned in prophecy as the vessel of truth. This claim falsely transfers divine authority to a people who were never given the law, the land, or the covenant.
To usurp means to seize a role or position that does not belong to you. That is what these claims do. Islam does not partner with Israel’s calling. It removes Israel from the equation and installs itself in her place. That is not fulfillment. That is replacement.
Israel Was Never Replaced
The Scriptures are clear. Yahuah never transferred His covenant to another people. He never raised prophets from other nations. He never placed final authority into the hands of any Gentile empire or religious system.
Psalm 147:19–20“He sheweth His word unto Jacob, His statutes and His judgments unto Israel. He hath not dealt so with any nation. And as for His judgments, they have not known them.”
Amos 3:1–2“Hear this word that Yahuah hath spoken against you, O children of Israel. You only have I known of all the families of the earth.”
All True Prophets Came From Israel
From Moses to Malachi, every prophet came from the house of Jacob. The prophetic office was never extended to outsiders. No Arab, no Roman, no Gentile. Muhammad was not a descendant of Jacob. That alone disqualifies him as a prophet of Yah.
Deuteronomy 18:15,18“Yahuah thy Elohim will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren. I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, and will put My words in his mouth.”
This command established a permanent requirement: all future prophets must come from the children of Israel. Yahuah would no longer speak to the people through terrifying public displays, but through chosen men from among Israel’s tribes. That pattern was never broken. Muhammad was not among the brethren of Moses. He had no covenant with Yahuah and no bloodline connection to Jacob. He cannot meet the requirement given in this verse and therefore does not qualify as being a chosen prophet of Yah.
Christianity And Islam Cannot Interpret Prophecy
Because the Bible is written to and about Israel, only Israel can understand its prophecies. Christianity misreads prophecy by spiritualizing Israel and claiming the church has replaced her. Islam misreads prophecy by relocating final authority to another people entirely.
Isaiah 46:13“I will place salvation in Zion for Israel My glory.”
The promise in Isaiah 46:13 speaks of an actual location tied to Israel’s legal standing in the covenant. Salvation is declared to be established in Zion, a real city with historical and covenantal significance. This location is not symbolic. Zion refers to the territory connected to David, the temple, and the seat of divine authority. No other city has been assigned that role. Any claim to prophetic leadership that originates from another people or place stands outside the framework established through Jacob's house.
Jeremiah 30:10–11“Fear not, O My servant Jacob. Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee.”
This is a direct promise to Jacob’s descendants. While the nations will fall under judgment, Jacob will survive. Israel’s covenant is intact. Her dispersion was prophesied. Her regathering is guaranteed. These verses declare continuity of bloodline, identity, and purpose.
Religions like Christianity claim that Israel has been replaced by the church, a spiritual body that now receives all covenant blessings. But Scripture never states that Yahuah transfers His promises to a new institution. The prophets constantly speak of the restoration of a physical people. Islam, on the other hand, claims that divine leadership shifted to the Ummah, placing prophetic authority on a different nation entirely. This contradicts every covenant term Yahuah established. Any religion that promotes these doctrines is false because it erases the people Yahuah said He would never forget.
Gentiles Must Follow Israel, Not Invent New Paths
The nations were never authorized to create their own religions. They were called to submit to the order Yahuah gave through Israel.
Zechariah 8:23“Ten men out of all languages of the nations shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you. For we have heard that Elohim is with you.”
Isaiah 2:3“For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of Yahuah from Jerusalem.”
These verses prove that Gentiles are not called to replace or lead Israel. They are called to follow Israel. In Zechariah 8, the nations confess that Elohim is with the Jew and beg to join him. They do not offer new scriptures or new doctrines. They ask to walk with the people of the covenant. In Isaiah 2, the law and the word do not come from Gentile nations or Arab prophets. They come from Zion. These verses destroy the idea that the church or the Ummah can create their own spiritual path. The law still proceeds from Jerusalem. The authority remains with Israel.
Submission to Israel’s covenant is the only acceptable path forward.
Conclusion: The Covenant Remains With Israel Alone
Christianity and Islam took the writings of the prophets, the promises of the covenant, and the person of the Messiah, then separated them from the people they were given to. They built religions from stolen words, disconnected from their rightful owners.
But Yahuah has not changed. The Scriptures were given to Israel. The law was given to Israel. The kingdom will be ruled by Israel. The Messiah came for Israel.
Gentiles who seek truth must repent from religious usurpation and return to Israel’s order. The covenant is not universal. It is tribal. It is bloodline-based. And it remains with the people Yahuah chose from the beginning.
